Dangerous Kids hit the stage

By Melissa Grant
ST PATRICKS Primary School students were dangerous when they hit the stage last Wednesday.
The 308 students at the Pakenham school travelled to St Francis Xavier College, Beaconsfield, to perform their musical, Dangerous Kids, which received a warm reception from their teachers, parents and friends.
Music teacher Ann Larkins said the students had spent much time practicing the performance since the beginning of second term but it didn’t prevent some nerves when they sang, acted and danced in front of the 1000 strong-crowd.
Mrs Larkins said the musical was an original based on four kids trying to defeat evil.
“Four kids are basically super sleuths trying to stop Carmen San Francisco from launching a satellite which would make sure the baddies would always win in video games,” she said.
Mrs Larkins said the musical was a play on several well-known characters including the US president.
Mrs Larkins said there had been much positive feedback about the musical and the school was already looking at doing a yearly or biannual performance.
