POLICE have expressed concern about motorbike riders in parks and around housing estates.
Pakenham Police Sergeant Stuart Halligan said police would be stepping up patrols in an effort to catch riders using areas such as the Rotary Park along the Toomuc Creek as an unofficial motocross track.
Despite signs saying motorbikes were not allowed, residents said young people were often seen riding their motorbikes around the trails.
Police said they were concerned about people’s safety and did not want motorbikes being ridden in those areas.
Sgt Halligan said riding motorbikes in places where young children played and people walked dogs was a recipe for disaster.
No happy trails for police, riders, residents
