SCARECROWS instead of horses will face the judges at this year’s Pakenham Show.
Equine Influenza will restrict horse participation at next month’s show but straw characters will be common with the show committee holding its first scarecrow competition.
The competition is open to young and old with a $25 prize for the winner of each category.
Committee member Graeme Vale expected that the novelty event would attract much interest with entries from both farmers and backyard gardeners.
To register for the competition call Catherine on 0408 117 709.
