Holiday program will be weeks of fun

TEENAGERS are invited to join in the Cardinia Shire Council’s holiday program.
Cardinia Shire Council Youth Services, with the support of Connections and Pakenham Police, are offering their biggest selection of holiday fun so far.
Council Youth Services coordinator Emma Firth said the school holiday program was jam packed with a range of activities for young people aged 11-16 years who live, work, recreate or go to school within the Shire.
To kickstart the holidays on Tuesday 25 March there is a trip to the Melbourne Aquatic Centre ($5), and on Wednesday 26 March the team is heading to Amaze ‘n’ Things ($20). With no time to rest there is then a trip to Phillip Island to check out the waves and learn how to surf for $35 on Thursday, 27 March.
The following day there will be a 10 pin bowling trip, which will cost $20.
The second week of the holidays is just as much fun with a variety of activities available. There will be a trip to Sidetracked on Monday, 31 March ($35) and to Luna Park on Friday, 4 April ($25).
Transport to all of the above activities is available via bus pick-up points across the Shire.
Skateboard and BMX enthusiasts should enjoy workshops to be held at Garfield Skate Park on Tuesday 1 April, Kooweerup Skate Park on Wednesday 2 April and Pakenham Skate Park on Thursday 3 April 2008. There are beginner and advance sessions for both skateboarding and BMX for $7.
Consent forms, bus timetables and booking forms are available from the Cardinia Shire Council website www.cardinia.vic.gov.au or by contacting Cardinia Shire Council Youth Services on 1300 787 624.
