COMMUNITY safety education and good oldfashioned fun will be top of the agenda when the churches of Pakenham join Cardinia Shire Council, the Country Fire Authority, Victoria Police, VicRoads and the SES to host the Cardinia Road Safety Expo and Pakenham Free Family Fun Day.
The event will be held on Saturday from 10am2pm at P.B. Ronald Reserve, on the corner of John and Henry streets, Pakenham.
The community is invited to join the fun with activities including giant snakes and ladders games, stilts and walking planks.
Kids and the young at heart can have their faces painted as road signs or perhaps a tiger or a fairy while enjoying live music, a sausage sizzle, Devonshire teas, and kids’ crafts.
Free child restraint safety checks will be available and kids are encouraged to bring their bikes and see how fast they can run or ride, as measured by speed monitor SAM.
No clowning around about good, safe fun
