Donation will be prized

CARDINIA Shire mayor Kate Lempriere is constantly promoting the arts in Pakenham and has put council’s money where her heart is. Cr Lempriere won support at last week’s council meeting to make a $495 donation to the Yakkerboo Festival. The grant from Central Ward funds will provide prizes for the mayor’s encouragement awards in Yakkerboo’s visual arts, literary arts and poetry competitions.
