All ages concert coming to Pakenham

Australian youth music organisation ‘The Push’ is bringing its All-Ages Tour back on the road this year – and it seems Pakenham music lovers are in for a treat!

Kicking off this February across regional Victoria, ‘The Push’ will see a number of talented homegrown musicians visit a range of locations like Inverloch, Rosebud and Pakenham (to name a few) as part of the tour, which will be spread over seven summer weekends.

The concert series will see musicians like Alex Lahey, Alice Skye, Allday, The Chats, Dallas Woods, JK-47, Kaiit, KIAN, Mallrat, MLBRN, Ninajirachi, The Smith Street Band, Sycco, Teenage Joans and Thelma Plum bring their talents to Victorian towns where you might not usually see live music… an all-ages experience like never before!

Taking in the sights and scenery throughout 18 picturesque regional and outer-suburban locations across Victoria (from Warrnambool to Shepparton and everywhere in between), the All-Ages Tour will bring live music to thousands of young music fans across the state, in what have been hotly tipped to be some of the biggest and best all-ages events in recent memory.

Kate Duncan, chief executive of The Push, said that since the pandemic had brought the live music sector to a crashing halt, it was fantastic to finally have the chance to share the joy of music with people across the state.

“After a devastating 18 months for both young people and the contemporary live music sector, The Push is excited to have this opportunity to bring Australia’s best artists to regional and outer-suburban Victoria,” Ms Duncan said.

“We’re supporting a stack of incredible artists to get back on the road and into local venues – generating important employment opportunities in areas that have lacked cultural tourism throughout the pandemic, and rejuvenating the all-ages live music scene across the state,” she said.

Supported by the Victorian Government, each of the 18 events are being staged by teams of local young people, as a part of the government’s ‘FReeZA’ program – a youth development initiative that provides young people with industry skills and experiences in staging events in their local communities.

On Sunday 20 February, Brisbane artist Sycco and singer Alice Skye will be gracing the stage in Inverloch, while the Pakenham show will be happening on Sunday 13 March and feature Melbourne singer Kaiit and hip hop artist MLBRN.

Aussie rapper Allday and talented hip hop artist JK-47 will be stopping by in Rosebud on Friday 25 March as well – so there will be a number of shows not to be missed!
