COUNCIL meeting times have been shifted to 7pm in a change said to make local government more accessible to the public.
Cardinia Shire councillors voted for the change at their statutory meeting on Monday.
Meetings were previously held at 4pm.
Councillor Brett Owen said people wanted evening meetings because work commitments meant they were often unable to attend earlier.
Cr Owen said the move would make meetings more accessible.
