CARDINIA Shire Council is holding an interactive cooking program for men and women over 50 who have limited cooking experience.
The six-week program is tailored to those who would like to learn more about preparing healthy meals and/or are not used to cooking in small quantities.
Council’s Positive Ageing officer, Danielle Kruger said the program is also a great chance for seniors to improve their nutrition knowledge and meet new people.
“Each session runs for two to three hours with 8-10 participants.
“Sessions will be held at Pakenham Senior Citizens Centre and will be delivered by a fully qualified dietitian,” Ms Kruger said.
The ‘Cooking for One or Two’ program starts on Tuesday 11 May from 10am-1pm at the Pakenham Senior Citizens Centre, 38-42 James Street, Pakenham.
Bookings are essential.
