Home builders told to get permit

CARDINIA Shire Council is encouraging residents who intend to carry out home improvement works in the holidays to check whether a building permit is required. All building work must comply with the Building Regulations 2006 and the Building Code of Australia.
All extensions and renovations which involve structural changes require a building permit.
