School clean out

STAFF and students at Pakenham’s Beaconhills College have been cleaning out their cupboards to support Rotary.
The spring clean will help Pakenham Rotary Club’s efforts to recycle useful primary and secondary school resources.
College head of information services Joy Board promoted the clean-out which saw more than 60 boxes of items donated.
The clean-up included textbooks, atlases, dictionaries and fiction plus donations of pens, pencils, crayons and paper.
Rotarian Andrew Walsh, with the help of year seven students, collected the boxes for inclusion in a shipping crate of a range of resources which will be sent to Papua New Guinea.
The Rotary clubs in PNG work hard to ensure the items are distributed to remote schools that need them and will use them effectively.
