Fete with a festive focus

CHRISTMAS is coming early to Pakenham Kinder.
The pre-school is organising a monster fete on Friday, 2 December.
Starting at 4pm at the kinder in Main Street, the fete will feature stalls offering quality Christmas goods and other items.
A jumping castle and mobile animal farm are sure to keep youngsters entertained.
Fete organising committee spokeswoman Andrea Cooper said there would be a silent auction with some terrific items available, a spinning wheel packed with prizes, face painting and live music.
Clowns will mingle through the crowd, a barbecue dinner will be available and there will be Devonshire teas and lots of games and fun activities.
Santa is expected to make an appearance between 5pm and 6pm.
Children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite superhero or other character with prizes for the best dressed, Ms Cooper said. “It’s going to be a really big night, everyone’s looking forward to it,” she said. “We’ve had great support and sponsorship from businesses and in the local community so we urge everybody to come along and have a great time.”
