Funding boosts relief agency

EMERGENCY relief provider 4Cs has received a welcome $3906 boost in the lead up to Christmas.
The AMP Foundation last week handed over a cheque to the organisation, after pledging to match, dollar for dollar, money raised at a recent antique fair.
4Cs administrator Sue Friend said the money would help the organisation as it prepared for a busy festive period.
“At this stage, it’s going into the main account, but once again we’re heading towards a busy Christmas,” she said.
“We’re waiting for the rush of clients registering for Christmas hampers … it just keeps getting bigger every year.”
AMP financial planner, Mark Lilley at Pakenham Financial Services, said he was pleased to support 4Cs and the sixth annual antique fair, held on 25 July.
“By supporting the antique fair, we are happy that we have helped to extend the amount of funds available for use by 4Cs within the local community,” he said.
“With the support of the AMP Foundation, we hope the additional funds can make a real difference to the lives of local families.”
4Cs provides food for between 180 and 200 clients each week.
To date more than $16 million has been raised by AMP Financial Planners for Australian charities, through the AMP Community Fundraising Program.
