PAKENHAM’S young people will be able to hop aboard the council’s new mobile youth bus for a range of fun activities these school holidays.
A Nintendo Wii, DVD player, six laptops, board games and arts and craft materials are some of the equipment on the bus, which will travel around the shire.
The MYbus will make a pit stop at the Pakenham Skate Park and Pakenham Lakeside Estate on Thursday 2 July. Youth Outreach officers Kelly Hicks and James Oakley will be running activities and games in the areas near the bus. “The bus even has scooters and skateboards the young people can borrow when the bus is stopped at townships near a skate park,” Ms Hicks said.
It will be at the Cardinia Cultural Centre from 9.30am to 12.30pm and at the Pakenham skate park from 1pm to 4pm.
