CATS are less likely than dogs to survive after being hit by a vehicle.
Research conducted by Australia’s largest animal hospital Lort Smith Animal Hospital and leading insurer AAMI shows that more people hit dogs with their vehicles than cats, but dogs are more likely to survive because of their size and comparatively greater weight.
