Locals keep Cardinia Creek clean

Friends of Cardinia Creek held a clean-up day to free the area from weeds and rubbish on Sunday 14 September.

It was a perfect day out to roll up your sleeves and help maintain local public land in Beaconsfield and Berwick.

The Friends of Cardinia Creek committee thanked all who joined the efforts.

“A big thank you to Andrew and Heath for lending some extra muscle to help haul out the big stuff – metal, old furniture, and even a few shopping trolleys from the creek!

“Smaller groups tackled the weeding and scotch thistle, and the results were fantastic.

“It was so nice to see lots of people out enjoying the reserve.”

With spring here and summer on the way, the group has many other events planned for locals to enjoy.

You can keep up to date with the latest events at Friends of Cardinia Creek on facebook.
