Exploring local biodiversity

Cardinia Shire Council marked Biodiversity Month with a guided bushwalk at RJ Chambers Flora and Fauna Reserve in Pakenham Upper on Sunday, 21 September.

Attendees joined a morning walk through the scenic reserve, learning about the area’s native plants and wildlife. The event also featured a hands-on photography workshop, where participants picked up tips on capturing the natural beauty around them.

Set among spring wildflowers and birdlife, the reserve offered the perfect setting to highlight the importance of protecting local ecosystems.

The bushwalk was designed to encourage people of all ages to connect with nature and celebrate the biodiversity of the region.
