More bus connections

The state government is extending route 928 Berwick – Pakenham via Cardinia Road and increasing service frequency.

From 24 August, Route 928 will get an extra 125 trips each week and be extended from Pakenham to Berwick Stations along Rix Road, providing a direct service for students from Officer and Edenbrook Secondary Colleges on school days.

The extension will create new public transport coverage in Officer South, while also providing direct connections to Beaconsfield and Berwick Stations as well as Casey Hospital.

Frequency on Route 928 will also be improved, with buses every 40 minutes most of the day to enable better access to employment, schools, shops and train stations.

These new services are being delivered as part of Victoria’s Bus Plan, which aims to increase the number of people choosing to take the bus by delivering more frequent, direct, and reliable services.

These changes were funded through the Growth Area Infrastructure Contribution.

Timetables and more information on the extended Route 928 will be available from 1 August 2025 at ptv.vic.gov.au, the PTV app or by calling 1800 800 007.
