The Cardinia Cultural Centre recently hosted a magical musical puppet show based on The Wobbly Wallaby and The Absolute Bandicoot, captivating children and families with song, rhythm, and movement on 28 June. This interactive performance by ABC Kids performer Jemma Armstrong was the highlight of her residency from 18 to 29 June, which also featured craft workshops inspired by the story’s themes of neurodiversity, empathy, and emotional awareness.
Meanwhile, the vibrant exhibition Prema Nishan: Wallaby & Bandicoot continues to run until Wednesday, 16 July. Featuring larger-than-life illustrations by Polina Hrytskova, the display brings to life the Wobbly Wallaby’s adventures with hanging animal figures and story excerpts. The exhibition is open daily from 9:00am to 3:00pm, with late-night openings on Thursdays. Entry is free.
