
Police are investigating after a suspicious house fire in Drouin that saw over twenty CFA units deployed to contain it.
CFA responded to reports of a structure fire at about 12.06pm Thursday 10 April on Weebar Road in Drouin, near the Ferntree Ridge Estate.
A large amount of black smoke could be seen and crews arrived to find a house fire.
The house was fully involved and the fire was spreading to nearby grass.
According to VicEmergency, Twenty-six CFA vehicles responded to the incident alongside Victoria Police.
Air support was requested.
An Advice message – stay informed – is currently in place.
There is currently no threat, but authorities say you should stay informed and monitor conditions.
The incident was declared under control at 2.25pm.
Police say the exact circumstances surrounding the fire are yet to be determined but the matter is being treated as suspicious.
Investigations remain ongoing.
