Cancer Council to host free seminar

THE Cancer Council Victoria will hold a free seminar at Castello’s Berwick Springs Hotel tonight (Thursday).
The seminar is for cancer sufferers and survivors, friends or family of someone with cancer, and anyone else interested in learning more about cancer or fundraising for the council.
Senior Cancer Council staff, including its director, Professor David Hill, will speak at the event.
The seminar will cover a range of topics such as cancer statistics and the history of the organisation, and Professor Hill will discuss the latest in cancer control and research. Also available at the seminar will be a wealth of cancer information, including pamphlets on support services, cancer prevention and fundraising. The Berwick seminar is the only one to be held in the area. For details call 1300 656 585. The seminar runs from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
