Supporting those in need this Christmas

Christmas can be a wonderful time filled with family, friends, and festive cheer, but for many people, Christmas can be one of the most challenging and stressful times of the year.

Cardinia Shire Council is pleased to support Christmas Together 2024, a collaborative effort between The Salvation Army, Bless Collective, ADRA, and the Cardinia Foundation to provide vital support to the local community during the festive season.

Christmas Together provides food, gift hampers, and financial assistance to community members in need. The event will run for two weeks, from Thursday 12 December to Friday 20 December.

Community members can register to receive support by completing the hamper registration form: Hamper Registration. Registered community members can access their hampers from Thursday, 12 December to Friday 20 December (excluding weekends).

Cardinia Shire Council encourages the community to help support this initiative by donating non-perishable food and gifts for 0-16 years of age to Council’s Civic Centre, 20 Siding Avenue, Officer. Donations will be accepted from Monday 18 November to until Friday 6 December.

Council recognises the importance of coming together as a community to support those in need and is committed to ensuring the success of Christmas Together 2024 to create a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents.

For more information about Christmas Together 2024 and other support available, call 1300 787 624 or head to Council’s online community service directory at www.cardiniasupport.com.au
