Man on traffic charges

A POLICE pursuit through Narre Warren on Sunday reached speeds of more than 150kph.
A 28-year-old Officer man had his car impounded after police caught him speeding on the Monash Freeway just before 10pm.
Dandenong Traffic Management Unit police in a marked Ford XR6 followed the man in his Commodore.
Police said he overtook several vehicles at more than 150kph before stopping nearly three kilometres down the freeway.
The man, who was the sole occupant in the Commodore, completed a preliminary breath test and was transported to Narre Warren police station for a formal interview.
The man has been released pending further investigation.
His vehicle was impounded for 48 hours and he is due to appear in court at a later date for various traffic offences including exceed prescribed concentration of alcohol, reckless conduct endangering persons, speed dangerous and exceed the speed limit.
