Several speedsters sprung

ELEVEN people have lost their licences for speeding in the Cardinia Shire area over a seven-day period last week.
Sergeant Nigel Atkins said 87 people had been caught exceeding the speed limit by 15km/h to 25km/h from 1 June to 8 June.
One, a 25-year-old man from Aspendale Gardens, was clocked at 156km/h on the Pakenham Bypass on Sunday.
The man’s vehicle was impounded for 48 hours and he incurred a $600 towing cost, Sgt Atkins said.
The man was summonsed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date for speed dangers, unlicensed driving and exceeding the speed limit.
