Pakenham has gone down 10-1 in a tough Saturday afternoon affair against premiership contenders Aspendale in the FFV State League 5 South competition.

Aspendale ran rings around the visitors in the first half of the round 12 clash, putting the game to bed early.

While Pakenham was able to apply the handbrakes late in the contest, they were only able to score one consolation goal, coming off the boot of usual suspect Matthew Vigilanti.

At Mount Eliza, Bunyip let a golden opportunity to take a scalp slip, going down 3-2.

Mark Comini and Macauley Howard were the goal scorers but Mount Eliza was able to hold on for a tense win.

At Power Reserve, Endeavour Hills had a 3-1 victory over Casey.

After a 0-0 first half, the game opened up after the break, with Jonathan Theodore, Daniel Di Vito and Sebastian Polydor finding the back of the net for the hosts.

Casey’s sole goal scorer was Matthew Kaligianis.

That result was a decisive one for Endeavour Hills, resulting in it moving up to seventh spot on the table, while Casey slipped to ninth, just three points clear of 10th-placed Pakenham.
