All hands were on deck to support revegetation works at the Beaconsfield Recreation Reserve last week.
A joint effort between Friends of Cardinia Creek Sanctuary, Cardinia Council, SJD Homes and Parklea, about 25 people helped plant a selection of plants west of the reserve on Friday 21 June, including Prickly Ti-tree, Woolly Tea Tree, Hop Goodenia and Common Tussock Grass.
Friends of Cardinia Creek Sanctuary committee member Jarod Mills said the event was a success.
“The atmosphere and camaraderie was excellent and much was achieved,” he said.
“We’ve had lots of people asking to be added to the Friends of Cardinia Creek database and keeping an eye out for future events.
“I am very proud of what was accomplished and the enjoyment that participants had from volunteering.”
