A maiden loss of the South West Gippsland Dart League in round 11 may have awoken the best inside that is the mighty Predators.
Having been pipped by the narrowest of margins last week by Snipers, Predators responded in emphatic fashion by thrashing Hoodies 15-0 in round 12 to return to winning ways.
It’s just the fourth scoreline of that magnitude in the season so far, and the season for Predators, who thrashed Dart Attack to the same degree back in round two.
Snipers were pushed in a top-four clash against Dart Vaders, winning 10-5, as Bill stepped up with a second 180 for the season, and Dean threw seven tons.
The result secured a dozen wins in a row to open the season and further widened the gap between the top three and the remainder of the field.
Dart Vaders, in fourth, are now 12 points and a percentage of 200 less behind Cheers in third.
Mud Rats’ 10-5 win over Gembrook gave them an edge in the battle for seeding as the competition turns for home, climbing from sixth to fifth and just shy of Dart Vaders on percentage.
Elsewhere, Liam Edwards’s second 180 of the season and six tons from Ant helped Cheers to down Just Social 11-4, and Bullseyes’ upset win over Railway gave it a second win of the season, sneaking home in an 8-7 thriller.
