Light shines on

THE impact of cancer on the local community will be highlighted in a moving Candlelight Ceremony during the Casey Cardinia Relay for Life event next week.
Event chair manager Nicole Ryan said the moment was always emotional.
“I believe the Candlelight Ceremony is a chance for those touched with cancer to reflect on the past and look forward to the future where we strive towards a cancer free world,” Ms Ryan said.
Now in its fifth year, the Casey Cardinia Relay for Life is one of the biggest events on The Cancer Council Victoria’s calendar.
Funds raised will go towards the Cancer Council’s cancer research, education and support services to help reduce the impact of cancer on the Victorian community.
This year’s event, which will take place on Friday 29 February and Saturday 1 March, will be again held at Berwick’s Akoonah Park.
