Biggest tea at the market

THE Biggest Morning Tea is an annual, nationwide fundraising event for the Cancer Council.
This year, in conjunction with the Pakenham Farmers’ Market, a morning tea will be held on Saturday 10 May from 8am to noon at the Pakenham Racecourse, Racecourse Road.
The Biggest Morning Tea will be a sit down affair, with table service for all paying participants.
The morning tea promises to be a great morning of music, friendship, laughter and glorious food.
The cost of the morning tea is $10 per person, and will consist of one beverage accompanied by a choice of a fresh muffin, a slice, a serve of fresh apple crumble served with cream, or a Farmers’ Market sample plate of cheeses and breads. All profits will go to the Cancer Council. Tables will be set up in a central area within the market.
Stallholders at the market will be producing most of the food, with lots of apples featuring as it is the start of the apple season. All Biggest Morning Tea visitors can buy their ticket at the gate, but pre-booked tickets are preferred. The market is undercover, so adverse weather will not interfere with the morning tea.
Event organiser Danielle Murrihy hopes to see 700 people sitting down for the morning tea and supporting a good cause.
