Fatal crash in Ripplebrook

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred in Ripplebrook on Friday.

Emergency services were called to the Westernport Road about 10.30pm after reports a car had crashed into a tree which had fallen across the roadway.

On arrival services located the female driver and her passenger.

Both were treated at the scene but unfortunately the driver died.

The female passenger has been taken to hospital for further treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, with dashcam footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppersvic.com.au
