HARDY’S Retravision has beaten more than 400 franchises across the country to take out the company’s coveted best store award.
Retravision CEO Tim Cockayne visited the Pakenham retailer yesterday (Wednesday) to present store manager Dan O’Loughlin with a framed certificate for winning the 2008 Top Individual Store over 1000sqm award.
The award comes just six months after the former hardware-electrical store split. Hardy’s Mitre 10 now has a mega store in Bald Hill Road while Retravision has full use of the Station Street shop.
Mr O’Loughlin said the business had gone from strength to strength since the October division.
“We’ve had enormous growth since we’ve done the superstore,” he said.
“The stock range has changed. We (now) have all the big brands.”
Mr Cockayne said the award was heavily weighted towards growth but points were also given for compliance with the group’s internal identification, store presentation, customer service and coherence to the Retravision code of conduct.
Mr O’Loughlin said the framed certificate would now hang proudly for employees and shoppers to see.
“It’s creating a lot of buzz in the place,” he said.
