LA TROBE MP Jason Wood said a re-elected Liberal Government would deliver $2 million for traffic lights at the intersection of Princes Highway and Old Princes Highway, Beaconsfield.
He said it was part of Coalition’s 2020 plan for Australia’s Transport Future, an integrated vision tackling local roads and national highways.
“This intersection has been identified by the council as a dangerous intersection,” Mr Wood said.
“It requires motorists heading towards the Beaconsfield town centre to make an extremely difficult right-hand turn, as traffic has to cross the existing freeway to get to the town centre.”
