Fatal motorcycle crash in Beaconsfield Upper

Police are investigating after a fatal motorcycle crash in Beaconsfield Upper on Saturday 4 November, which killed a 37-year-old Clayton man.

Police have been told a group of motorcycle riders were travelling south along Emerald-Beaconsfield Road near the intersection of Stoney Creek Road when they lost sight of one of the riders at about 4.30pm.

Friends reported the man missing and searches were conducted overnight without success.

The rider was located deceased down an embankment off Emerald-Beaconsfield Road at about 6am on Sunday 5 November.

While police have not yet determined the exact circumstances surrounding the crash, it appeared the 37-year-old Clayton man came off the road and down the embankment before crashing into trees and a fence.
