Cardinia businesses invited to help shape local economic development

Local businesses in Cardinia Shire will soon be invited to take part in the Cardinia Business Landscape Survey.

The survey aims to provide insights on the current business landscape and to gather feedback on how Cardinia Shire Council can better shape the support and resources it provides to local businesses.

Pop-up sessions will be held at the following locations to engage with businesses:

Thursday 24 August 2023, 10am to 1pm, at Hills Hub, Emerald

Friday 1 September 2023, 10am to 1pm at Bendigo Bank, Lang Lang

Friday 8 September 2023, 10.30am to 1.30pm, at Cardinia Cultural Centre, Pakenham

Council staff will also visit Bunyip, Garfield and Koo Wee Rup to speak directly to businesses.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Tammy Radford encourages local businesses to participate.

“We’re enthusiastic about connecting with businesses and ensuring our support and resources align effectively with their needs,” Cr Radford said.

“Our community told us it’s important to support local businesses, that’s why we want their feedback and ideas on things we can do to help them thrive.”

The survey will open on Tuesday 22 August and run until the end of September at creating.cardinia.vic.gov.au

Businesses who receive a direct invitation are encouraged to use the link emailed to them to access the survey.
