Cardinia Storm has proved too strong for St Bede’s, winning 3-1.

St Bede’s came out and asserted themselves on the contest physically, looking the better team early on.

The hosts scored the first goal, forcing the Storm to play catch up…but they were up to the task.

A pair of goals to Bec Gregory gave Cardinia the lead as they begun to shift the momentum in their favour.

After a period on the sidelines due to injury, Teejay Peterson was then able to put the finishing touches on the result with a field goal between the ‘keeper’s legs.

Maddy Reincastle was important in setting up the strikers, while Ruby Wilson held up well defensively to frustrate the opposition who were unable to penetrate.

Jordan McDonald was a brick wall in goals to help keep St Bede’s at bay and ensure that, after coming hard early, they wouldn’t be able to cut the margin.
