Train lines closed

Passengers on the Cranbourne, Pakenham and Gippsland lines are urged to allow extra time for their commute this morning, as crews work to repair a track fault near Huntingdale.

Buses are replacing trains on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines between Westall and Oakleigh. Trains will continue to operate between Oakleigh and Flinders Street, with delays to the service.

V/Line trains will operate between Bairnsdale, Traralgon and Pakenham only. Passengers should change to a Metro Trains service between Pakenham and Southern Cross.

We ask passengers to check station platform displays, listen for announcements, and allow extra time for their journey.

Passengers may also consider using buses on routes 704, 824 and 733 for travel between Westall and Oakleigh.

Authorised Officers will assist passengers changing between trains and buses.

Motorists are asked to be vigilant for extra pedestrians and buses around train stations on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines.

The VicRoads signals team is monitoring conditions in the area and will adjust traffic lights to assist with bus movements.

Real-time traffic conditions are available at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au or via the VicTraffic mobile app. The latest public transport information and network status is available at ptv.vic.gov.au or in the PTV mobile app.
