PAKENHAM Racing Club has given local food bank 4Cs some post Christmas cheer.
Last week the club donated $3000 to help with the food rush in the New Year.
The coordinator of 4Cs Jeni Mathieson said the donation was a timely one. She said finances at the food bank were slightly down after receiving 600 Christmas hamper orders and the money would be of great help come next year.
Pakenham Racing Club CEO Terry Macdonald said the donation was made via the organisation’s new community program.
“The club’s adopted a community relations policy that will significantly increase our donations to the community,” he said.
“Anyone interested in receiving a donation should make an application to the club in writing.”
