More primary votes for the state election were counted on Tuesday 29 November, while authorities were re-checking early votes on Wednesday.
It remains a close race in Bass and Pakenham.
According to a late night update on Tuesday, Labor’s Emma Vulin had received more first preference votes in the new seat of Pakenham than her Liberal opponent.
However, the two-party preferred vote remained unchanged at eight votes difference.
In Bass, the margin narrowed on a two-party preferred basis, with Labor’s Jordan Crugnale leading by 53 votes, on 16,639, while the Liberals’ Aaron Brown recevied 16,586.
For the Lower House count, from 10am on Wednesday 30 November, first preference (primary) counts, 2CP counts and rechecks of early votes from the vote exchange, as well as postal votes, were being undertaken for several close seats, including Bass, Benambra, Hastings, Mildura, Mornington and Pakenham.
At the close of the polls, the new seat of Pakenham had a total enrolment of 48,014 voters.
According to the latets update, 2385 people or 6.56 per cent of the total votes were cast informally.
