Pakenham’s best photographers crowned

Results for Pakenham Camera Club’s October “scapes” competition are now in.

Thirty-three images were presented to competition judge Marc Jones, who presided over the competition

The early morning landscape picture taken by Lindsay Muirhead titled ‘Morning Light’ impressed Mr Jones the most and was awarded the A Grade win and club Image of the Month honours.

Julie Oates took out second place in the competition for her image titled ‘Cracked Earth’.

Using a narrow depth of field, her photograph shows a dry and cracked riverbed retreating into the wooded distance.

Vikki Templeton claimed third place with her picture ‘Side Brook’, narrowly beating Noel Bunce’s ‘Dusk at Stephens Creek’ and Rod Stones’ ‘Cape Otway Lighthouse’.

Charles Poulson was awarded his first B Grade win with his image of Danish castle ‘Egeskov’.

Donna Edstall’s photos were awarded second and third place respectively for her photos ‘Moonlight’ and ‘The Haunted Shores’.

Pakenham Camera Club was grateful to learn from the best throughout their affiliation with Lindsay Muirhead.

“The PCC members are benefiting from Muirhead’s recent affiliation with the club,” Noel Bunce said.

“Not only do they get to see the work of, and learn from a fine photographer, they are also getting to see images from his native New Zealand that may inspire not only photographic learnings, but travel across the ditch.”
