Teens arrested after allegedly stealing a Mercedes

Three teens from Melbourne’s south east were among five arrested after allegedly stealing a Mercedes.

Southern Metro Crime Team detectives along with investigators from Manningham Crime Investigation Unit cornered the stolen car in a fast food drive through outlet on Tuesday night.

The vehicle was stolen in an alleged aggravated burglary in Hawthorn on Tuesday morning and was seen at the scene of an armed robbery in Endeavour Hills around 9PM.

Detectives saw the vehicle on the Princess Highway in Doveton at around 11:30PM during their investigation into a string of burglaries in southern and eastern suburbs.

The teenagers were arrested at the scene and are set to appear before a children’s court.
