Mike Larkan officially opens Simplicity Funerals

Simplicity Funerals went all out for their official opening on Thursday 27 October.

Former Channel 10 weather presenter turned celebrant Mike Larkan was in attendance to cut the ribbon.

“It feels wonderful to officially open,” Simplicity Funerals location manager Tim Mits said.

“We’ve been here since July and it’s great to be a part of the community.”

The weather was wet but spirits were high for attendees thanks to the planning of the team.

After opening their doors, attendees were treated to a broad selection of food and drinks.

“It’s been a good turnout and we’ve been fortunate enough to have a couple hours going around on the horse drawn hearse and meeting all the local people,” Mr Mits said.

There was something for everyone to enjoy on the day.

Children could get their face painted or have a balloon animal made for them.

There was also a petting zoo for children to enjoy.

Mr Mits said a lot of planning went into their official opening and thanked the local businesses who made the day possible.

“We tried to utilise local supplies and we’re very happy with the way it’s turned out,” Mr Mits said.

Mr Mits said Simplicity Funerals is looking forward to supporting the community and helping local families commemorate their loved ones.
