Charity dress makes a hole lot of difference

A BLUE doughnut is set to make a “hole” lot of difference for the annual Jeans for Genes charity organisation.
Krispy Kreme Fountain Gate has teamed up with The Graduate Store, a talented group of designers fresh out of university, to make a doughnut-covered dress.
Along with creating special doughnuts exclusively for Jeans for Genes, the store has also commissioned a denim and doughnut-inspired ensemble, which is proving an eye-catching way of raising awareness for the cause.
The denim blue sprinkled doughnuts will be in the store until tomorrow (Friday).
An amount of 25 per cent of the cost of each doughnut sold will go to the Children’s Medical Research Institute.
The company has previously raised $7000 for the cause, a figure it hopes to build on in 2007.
Jeans for Genes spokeswoman Julijana Trifunovic said she was thrilled with the support.
“We’re off to a great start with this fabulous denim and doughnut dress and it’s just wonderful to have the involvement of The Graduate Store,” she said.
“We’re always appreciative of any support offered to Jeans for Genes and we hope Krispy Kreme lovers will enjoy treating themselves and helping our cause at the same time.”
