THE puppy at the centre of last week’s Fountain Gate dog-napping has found a new home in Cranbourne.
Coco, a black Italian greyhound, went missing from her enclosure at the Pets at Home store last Monday.
Widespread media coverage focused on the dog’s disappearance, which was captured on the store’s security footage.
The dog was returned two days later and is now safely in the hands of Cranbourne resident Andrew Cole.
Mr Cole purchased the dog after it was given a health check up by store staff.
Police have since charged two people with the theft of the dog.
A 34-year-old Narre Warren South woman and a 25-year-old Narre Warren South man have been bailed to appear before the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 31 October.
