Bus trip leads to attempted rape

POLICE are searching for a man who allegedly attempted to rape a 17-year-old in Narre Warren North last month.
A man, who said his name was Ali, struck up a conversation with a teenage girl after he boarded a bus at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre on Friday, 8 June about 5.45pm.
The girl got off the bus at Narre Warren North Road and the man followed her ino nearby parkland.
Police said the woman walked a short distance before the man pushed her to the ground and tried to rape her.
The man is described as being aged in his late teens, 177cm tall with short black hair.
Police have released an image of a man they believe can help them with their inquiries.
