Guzman Y Gomez coming to Pakenham

Mexican food chain Guzman Y Gomez will open up a drive-thru restaurant in Pakenham.

Guzman Y Gomez will open mid-year at the intersection of Deveney Street and Princes Highway – next to Hungry Jack’s.

The company’s burritos, nachos and tacos will be welcomed by those currently travelling to Cranbourne or Fountain Gate for their fix.

The company is planning on providing “full training” to staff at its Fountain Gate restaurant, according to a job advertisement for a full-time cook on employment website Seek.

Guzman Y Gomez was founded in 2006 and operates more than 150 restaurants in Australia, Singapore, Japan and the United States. Its goal is to open more than 40 restaurants a year, according to its website.
