Wickers win comes at heavy cost

It was a relieving afternoon for Berwick on Saturday, as the Wickers claimed their first win of 2022.

It was a horror start for the Wickers, conceding the first two goals and star forward Harry Money suffering a suspected ACL inside the first 10 minutes.

A wounded Travis Tuck went forward and gave his side a spark, as a six goal to nil second term set up the 11.10 (76) to 6.13 (49) win over North Ringwood.

The Wickers had a two-point buffer over the Saints heading into the round 8 Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL) clash, and now have a pressure-easing six point gap ahead of potential relegation.
