The Lakeside Recreation Reserve was a popular meeting spot on Thursday 3 February – but not for local sporting fans.
A large flock of noisy corellas gathered at the grounds, nibbling away at the lawn and neighbouring people’s gardens that morning, eyeing off all those who passed them by and fluttering about if they got too close.
The playful birds were certainly kicking up a ‘squawk’ and making a bit of a mess as they went about their business – but it was nice to see the wildlife making themselves at home in the suburban landscape all the same.
