STUDENTS are taking the lead at Berwick Fields Primary School and doing their bit to help the community.
Grade six student Jacob orgainsed a crazy hair day at the school last week in conjunction with Shave for a Cure Day and helped raise $248 for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Five brave students decided to go one step further and shave their hair off.
Jordan, Mitchell, Jacob, Beth and TK lost their locks and raised a combined total of just under $2000.
Berwick Fields Primary School encourages their students to become involved in the wider community through various events including Shave for a Cure Day.
