INNER Wheel Narre Warren raised $1600 at its Walk for Cord Blood Research in Wilson Botanic Park, Berwick, on Sunday.
Walkers had the choice of two pathways, one around the lakes and the other much further track around the park perimeter.
Berwick piper Ian Arrell piped the walkers off and Edrington Ward councillor Mick Morland waved them off.
Cr Morland said the City of Casey was fortunate to have so many voluntary organisations such as Inner Wheel.
“The excellent way of life in our city is created because of the voluntary services we have,” he said.
Walkers were provided with a sausage sizzle on their return.
