CASEY businesses are putting their faith into a Christian program with a $500 donation.
Businesses involved in the Casey Referral Network have recognised the work of Christians Helping in Primary Schools (CHIPS) in the community.
CHIPS is a non-profit organisation formed by 2005 Casey Citizen of the Year Eric Wieckman. The group is a link between local Christian churches and primary schools and provides love, support and encouragement to the student community.
Network chairman Darius Mikolajewski said his group was proud to support CHIPS.
The work of CHIPS “has been acknowledged by council and welfare organisations as being of utmost importance, he said.
in an area where it is desperately needed,” Mr Mikolajewski said.
The $500 donation will help sponsor ten children from disadvantaged families in Casey and enable them to attend one of the camps run by CHIPS.
